Manager, Planning and Development
Location: Head Office
Reports To: CEO
Job Overview: To manage a portfolio of projects at various stages of the development cycle. The portfolio is typically comprised of high density mixed-use residential developments located within the GTA.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Lead a team of project consultants to execute the target submission requirements.
● Liaise with various stakeholders to facilitate development approvals and obtain building permits.
● Assist in project budgeting and maintain process tracking.
● Assist in feasibility analysis and due diligence for new site acquisition.
● Perform additional tasks as may be required.
Qualifications:
● A minimum of five (5) years of high-rise residential development experience.
● University undergraduate degree in urban planning/business/architecture/engineering or equivalent
● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Highly personable with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of personalities.
● A positive attitude and strong work ethic. -
Senior Site Coordinator, High Rise Construction
Location: Head Office – 36 Toronto Street
Reports To: Site Superintendent, Senior Construction Staff Job Overview: Responsible for coordinating all construction related administrative functions at the site construction office. This position will lead to an Assistant Site Superintendent role within a 6-12 month timeline upon satisfactory job performance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Involved in coordinating day-to-day activities between site management, head office and trades
● Order construction materials, tools, and supplies required for daily construction work
● Maintain deliveries schedule, hoist schedule, storage and security of materials on site
● Coordinate with vendors, trades, and site management about scheduled deliveries and confirmations
● Process invoices/delivery slips and maintain a record of all materials received on site
● Process, file, and distribute documents issued by project consultants
● Maintain and follow-up on all Health & Safety documentation related to trade partners
● Receive, organize, and re-issue drawings, purchase orders, additions, field review reports, and other documents to appropriate trades
● Prepare weekly/monthly reports, organize site meetings and update meeting minutes
● Maintain time sheet recording for payroll processing
● Monitor & update project schedule
● Assist with quality control, inspections, deficiency tracking, and close out documentation
● Responsibilities and essential functions may be modified at any time depending on site requirements
Qualifications:
● 3-4 years of previous experience in residential high-rise construction
● University Degree/College Diploma in engineering, construction management or business
administration
● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Highly personable with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of
personalities.
● A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
● Strong MS Office skills
● Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
● Familiar with Ontario Ministry of Labour & Occupational Health & Safety rules
