Assistant Project Manager, Construction
Location: Head Office
Reports To: Project Manager, Senior Construction Staff, Ownership
Job Overview: To assist in the construction management of a portfolio of projects at various stages of the construction cycle. The portfolio is typically comprised of high density mixed-use residential developments located within the GTA.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Assist in the development of scopes of work for tendering
● Steer and undertake tender qualifications process
● Assist in coordination of design consultants
● Liaise with trades and track shop drawing review
● Liaise with and support site staff as required
● Pricing extra’s options
● Review consultant reports/proposals
● Perform additional tasks as may be required.
Qualifications:
● A minimum of five (5) years of high-rise residential construction experience.
● University Degree/College Diploma in engineering, construction management or
equivalent
● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Highly personable with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of
personalities.
● A positive attitude and strong work ethic. -
Site Superintendent, Construction
Location: Site Office
Reports To: Project Manager, Senior Construction Staff, Ownership
Job Overview: Responsible for construction management/supervision of a project at various stages of the construction cycle. The portfolio is typically comprised of high density mixed-use residential developments located within the GTA.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Work with the sub-trades, consultants, suppliers to meet contractual obligations
● Monitor and control project budget items that are under the direct control of the site
● Organize and plan to ensure timely delivery and schedule for all site activities
● Liaise with trades on problem solving site issues
● Liaise with Project Mgr and support office staff as required
● Maintain/file all clerical site documentation
● Review consultant reports/proposals/shop drawings
● Schedule and monitor deliveries of Re-bar & Concrete
● Chair all bi-weekly subtrade meetings
● Maintain daily log of site activities
● Ensure/maintain safety protocols on site
● Work with and assign responsibility to Asst Supt and BSaR site labourers
Qualifications:
● A minimum of five (5) years of high-rise residential construction experience.
● University Degree/College Diploma in engineering, construction management or equivalent
● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Highly personable with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of personalities.
● A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
● Familiar with Ontario Ministry of Labour & Occupational Health & Safety rules
